DTLA Med offers on-site radiology services, so you can receive both diagnostics and treatment at the same location. However, if your radiology test reveals a condition requiring care from a specialist, Dr. Badday will provide outside referrals.
Types of diagnostic radiology procedures available at DTLA Med include:
X-rays are most commonly used to check for broken bones, but they can also be used to check for tumors as part of mammograms.
Ultrasound scans send high-frequency sound waves into your body, where they bounce off your internal organs and tissues. The sound that echoes back is and converted into nearly real-time imaging of your internal structures. DTLA Med specializes in sports and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Also known as a “CAT scan,” a CT scan uses both X-rays and computers to produce multiple images of the inside of your body. CT scans produce more detailed images of your blood vessels, soft tissues, and internal organs than an X-ray can alone. CT scans can also monitor heart disease and cancer and help locate tumors, infections, and blood clots. At DTLA Med, any patient that undergoes a CT Scan has the option to look at their study with a board-certified radiologist. This is for the benefit of understanding and undergoing a detailed analysis of the internal processes going on in one’s body.
Using a large magnet and radio waves, an MRI creates detailed images of your organs and tissues. MRIs do not use radiation, unlike X-rays and CT scans. MRIs can detect issues including brain and spinal cord abnormalities, tumors, and joint abnormalities.
At DTLA Med, any patient that undergoes an MRI Study has the option to look at their study with a board-certified radiologist. This is for the benefit of understanding and undergoing a detailed analysis of the internal processes going on in one’s body.
For any diagnostic study done inside the DTLA Medical Facility, immediate and on-site interpretation is provided by our Board Certified Radiologist.
